Welp See ya!

Yeah. I feel like that sometimes, a DICK.

DnD Zombies

Just an illustration from Becky's first D&D experience. She picked it up pretty good. I'm extremely proud. I also got to try out my first homemade mission. It worked out marvelously. I'm considering putting the notes for it online, but it might kill the suspension of belief for my nosey players.
Being her first adventure (And using the Red Box as the jumping off point) I set the story in the southern corner of Fallcrest in the outer rural area. Figgens, a woodsmen, was attempting to bring his wife back to life, but in the process creating zombies as experimental failures. This came to a head when Ann Sprocket, a farmers widow came running into town babbling about her husband wandering around on their property. This drew the attention of a halfling called Greek. She managed to track down the culprit by questioning the local Healer, Ronin. A nice chap, even if he's blasé enough to go handing around resurrection theories.
She displayed her cunning skills as a thief by breaking into Figgens house and finding evidence of his sacrilegious activities.
She then made it back to town, dripping a little from axe wounds, to tell Ronin how to reverse the effects of the animated corpse. They managed to win the day using a pot she stole from Figgens house.
She then finished the day by cooking up some food with the previously mentioned pot... Which is a little
disgusting considering it was used to bludgeon a corpse. Ah well.
You can see an illustration of her breaking out of Figgens place over at her blog.

1930s Gangsters

We drew ourselves, I inked us, Becky coloured us.
This was another one of those rushed doodles. We just drew us as we were.
The theme of the party we were going to was Gangsters. It was assumed that we were meant to be in fact "Gangsta" since there was mention of bling. The older people dressed up in leathers and managed to pull off bogan pretty good. They probably think hip hop is an abbreviated term for Hip Operation.
Becky decided we should go as the more slick dressed type of gangsters..
I had an interesting encounter with a person I cannot remember the name of. So I will refer to them as Mr. Man from henceforth.
Mr. Man wanted me drunk. Since apparently thats a thing these days. He kept thrusting beers at me, which I politely drank, but since this process was much to slow for his liking he tried speeding things up with various challenges and shots, most of which I refused. He kept asking Becky to "let him off his leash" and that I was whipped.
I don't think he understood that someone would want to remain sober of their own accord. And once again a case of bro-rape is averted.

Look Up!

This occured today as I was teaching my nephew Adam how to play Minecraft. This is a big jump for a lot of adults. But for a seven year old who doesn't normally touch the computer it's a HUGE step. Ideas and concepts that gamers take for granted he doesn't understand yet. Even the friendly equantence we have with mice and keyboards is missing. Platform games are hard enough for him, just getting the timing right while pressing multiple buttons to move forward and jump is a challenge. Forget the third dimension! Looking at the keyboard and the screen at the same time is enough multitasking to last anyone.
But he's missioning it along. It's quite cool actually. Seeing him get excited about this giant world where you can dig into anything. At this present moment he still has to either have his full concentration on the mouse or the keyboard, but baby steps are good. He keeps loosing the 'I' key as well.
Anyway, the scenario in the picture happened. and it was hilarious. He was also trying to barter for my password. "If you tell me your password I'll tell you Mums!" He said loudly and confidently.

Christchurch Quake

This quote about the latest Christchurch quakes is taken from Jeremy Elwood. I tried writing something myself, but it ultimately came out too poetic. Poetry does not do the solemn nature of this event justice.

Trannies

Either way someones in for a surprise. Welcome to K Road, where nothings as it seems and scab skin is a prerequisite for living there.
Anyone else noticed the clouds gathering in Aux lately? Those little suckers are getting everywhere. Any info on them would be nice.

Lick your face?

I wanted to try and draw a Disney princess. Looks more like a hot Tongan chick with the flower I like to think.
Huh. That's weird. I was pretty sure I talked about it before, but can't find any other posts about it. 56965 is a series of stickers that appeared all over Auckland early 2009 (If I remember correctly). They've also appeared in Wellington and Christchurch.. Oh yeah, and Hong Kong. Not much else is known about the sticker campaign. The only relevant thing I can find associated with 56965 is that its a gene sequence thats unique to humans. Or maybe this is all bull and someone just wanted to create a palindrome with numbers. (it also looks nifty upside down 29692)

Look At All This Stuff!

I wasn't in the room at the time this occured. But I heard it.
Today my house (Otherwise known as the Fortress of Solitude in my head) became occupied with my sister, brother-n-law, and their three kids. While the quietness of the house is gone, the Lols are going to come a lot more often.
In the CBD at the moment you might have seen all these new "Fruity Sex" Stickers going up. I looked it all up so you don't have to. Yeah, I'm a sucker for street Campaigns. If your a sucker for joining things on facebook you can go right ahead and do that.

Judge that guy

This is in reference to an earlier doodle which I failed to explain. No, that isn't preacher beside me. It's Robby.
Explanation: So with that last doodle we were at church. The time came for the kids to go to Sunday school but our worship leader picked a rather dramatic collection of words to say this. "Release the children!" *in a deep growly voice like your ordering the Uruk-hai to find the hobbits.
We've been meaning to beam the first doodle up during the middle of church for a while now. Although I don't know if everyone would remember the event anymore to actually get it.

Lantern Festival

Today I went to the Lantern Festival in Aux with Becky and her sisters. There will probably be extensive footage of it when the next episode comes out. It was freakin packed! Although I'm not to surprised, it was equally packed last time I went. My main coping mechanism was to just glaze over and stair at the horizon line. The Horizon mostly being the back of someone else's head or the sky scrapers that loomed around us.
Oh yeah, I saw this on the way up as well.

If it weren't for my pet project Operation: Make Matt Draw I totally would have missed this day. Marker by Matt, pens by me.

The Goku of Rock

I wasn't really feeling inspired doing this one. All of today I have had a looming sense of unease. Well, a hangover of unease really. I had a run in with Studylink a while back, which admittedly was my own incompentence at play rather than bureaucratic monkeys playing with tape.
Ah the scourge of students lives. I don't know anyone who appreciates Studylink this time of year. We really should be grateful that we have a service that provides us with cash throughout our courses. But really, that awkward password system that everyone forgets their details of because the rules for password restriction is so strict, plus the fact that this is the first time a lot of us have had to do "paperwork" of any kind creates extremely short fuses.
I sent in my folks details a while ago about how much they earned etc, and then yesterday I recieved another email asking me to send in my parents junk again. I was pretty pissed. By the time they would be process it by now I would be starting uni. So I decide to give them a call, since that usually gets things done faster than drawing little squiggles in rows and then putting it in a folded piece of paper with a stamp on it and sending it to them and then hoping they can read the squiggles.
I get some bro on the phone who's rather helpful. He goes and processes my stuff right there and then. Woot, everythings done. "You sir, are a gentlemen and a.. Squire." I figured there was something wrong with that since a squire was like a servant, and I knew it wasn't a commonly accepted complement calling someone a well behaved slave. So I left it with that.
Yes... A sense of unease.

Mouse Army

This would be the first doodle that not only isn't drawn directly into the book but also done in landscape rather than portrait.
For a full discourse of what this ones all about I suggest checking out Becky's contribution. She posted up my other troopers and also her own praying mantis troops.
She also coloured lots of it to! So be amazed and inspired.

Vampires day!

Sometimes valentines day just doesn't turn out the way you think it will. See the other half of the story, and the other half of the picture at becky's place.

Fly face

Need I say more? No I needn't.
The video is unrelated but still pretty decent.

Zara's 20th

Yesterday I shot a possum. It went down in one shot. Admittedly Phil set me up pretty good to blow the thing away, so props to him for spotting it and everything.
So me 'n Becky shot back from Pokeno (Yeah, we were at the place with the ice creams. Yes. We had an ice cream. Cookies and Cream. Look, stopping interrupting.)
We were late to Zara's party, which we totally didn't forget. It was all Arabian themed. It was all set up like we were part of the Forty Thieves, Doing tasks to steal each others cash. I did a decent amount of tasks, and I apologise to Becky for making her cry by tickling her.
This picture is actually two tasks. My instructions are pasted at the top. And I was going to just draw Zara, but one of her friends, Sarah, was hanging around trying to give me suggestions on what to draw. They were pretty lame suggestions. Moustache, Pig nose and a hairbrush. She managed to make me draw the first two, completing two thirds of her task, claiming that much of my cash.

Baby Face

Yeah. I look odd, especially since I got a haircut as well... Time to go to Pokeno! Or there abouts.

She-Mantis

I was at Harries yesterday with Becky under the assumption that we would be watching old Disney movies all night. Instead we watched the special features on the Scott Pilgrim dvd and spent the rest of the night talking till 6am. Becky was not pleased at this apparent betrayal to the plan.
Please note, while I have a goatee (currently) I do not in fact have curly long hair like the devilishly handsome Harry. Yeah, that saying just seems weird now that I linked an image to it doesn't it.

Speechless

I planned this to have words. But then I decided against it. Your imagination is probably funnier than anything I could say in this situation.
I also have a bonus doodle for you! Done on legs! Woot for legs.

Punk Girl & Ep7

Punk chick character thing I'm working on. Burn Street is (I thought) a fictional street that I use for the setting of a few animations I never finished. I also use 32 Burn Street as a fake mailing address when I sign up to things I don't want. I found out later that there is a Burn street in Cambridge. I can only hope now that the people living at that address are really interested in getting lots of junk mail from every single university in NZ.

Episode one billion is out now. Give it a geaze. Most of it takes place at Coopers Beach camp. The last half of it is at Zaras new place. Oh yes! Credits I forgot to put in! I totally stole Matts Pics for the intro.

Chick Stencil

This ones a bit boring. But it still counts. Although the stencil itself was made yesterday, and it's pretty much 90% of the process. But my pens were made a while ago, and so was the paper I drew them on, but it still counts as a doodle done today. So yes. It's done... Oh yes, and it's based on an image I did last week *Pokes out tongue and shuffles out the blog.*

Unfortunate Truth

I was reading up about things going down in Egypt and came across the quote used in the doodle from Shawki al-Qadi. I thought it was kinda cool. Things said in times of unrest are always better than those said in times of peace. And then I thought about it a little to hard and realized that while most of the net generation would like to agree with it, we don't exactly take advantage of our power. Long live WikiLeaks.

Blam! Flowers!

I'm quite happy with this one. The movements been captured well by the splatter. Normally splatters just add chaos. Nice one, splatter!

It's not often that my own blog manages to make me laugh. I was going through my dailies on the internet, and one of my stops brings me to my blog stats page. This is for general ego stroking or on a bad day, for bringing myself down because no one knows I exist. But one of the fun parts is seeing how people found my blog, either through links from other sites or which words they used in google to find me in particular. Someone found my blog by googling "joke with doodle in punchline".

Mystery Woman

It is in fact Keir! Lvl 21, knows growl, tackle and bubblebeam! She's been in woeful need of drawing for a while now. Unfortunatly she morphs a lot, so she's a hard one to draw.

I got a mention over at 4 Color Rebellion For a crappily drawn Megaman I did. Check it out!

Abandoned Kittens

We found a pile of abandoned kittens. Becky's conversations became very limited in their content. I would offer a give away of kittens but probably by the time you read this we will have taken them to the SPCA.
