Ep4 - November

This took me all day to upload. Well. "day" started at 11:58 AM for me. So its roughly half the length of everyone elses day. I guess I should go outside before the sun decides to check out the other side of the planet. *gets up and leaves post unfinished*
*Comes back* Oh yay, It's about done. I would like to apologize for doing the speedy camera thing during the song AGAIN. I feel bad for reusing an idea. Also there's lotsa footage from the beach that I didn't get up. Like the sea gulls taking off with our buns. They will have to live on lovingly in our memories.

"Cause thats just the kind of fun we have in New Zealand!"

A bunch of plugs

Vanilla Fiction / SKAB
I would like to introduce Zara to the blogging world. Although I'm sure she dabbled with livejournal or something ages ago. Anyway, it's a pleasure to have her posting. Great for kicks and giggles. Her words are like tiny doves flying up out of the pages into your eyes and then into your brain. Where you will smile happily at their arrival.
ALSO, Vanilla Fiction is making her way into the scene. I'm certain this will be a place for the more visual oriented. Which will be owesome. As of yet she hasn't posted anything BUT.. I have my expectations. & if her super secret journals are anything to go by her blog should be hilarious.

I open these gates to you. May you not be like bad sex. Hard and fast at first but soon becoming flaccid and very very dead. Yes, I'm talking about you. and no. Thats not meant to be a gay joke. But I guess it is now. Sigh.

Merry tripleXmas

Christmas Girl: 2009 2010 2011 2012
I've been going through my spree of hot chick drawings again. Finally found the drivers for my tablet. Well I should amend that statement actually. "Finally became bothered enough to google the drivers for my tablet." I was hoping it would fix the lag issue I was having using it in Photoshop. Didn't work, but hey, at least all the shortcut buttons work on it now.
Let me get all the christmasy stuff out of the way. Since I'm gonna forget for the rest of the week.
I'm burning up right now. The weather is hot and muggy. Its the type of heat that makes you freak out every now and again that you have spilt something on your clothes, but then you remember its just your own sweat SPILLING out of your skin. And yes, christmas is like that here. No robins jumping around on cherrys while jack frost draws on window pains. None of this snow business and people bundled up inside. In fact I think that the picture I have drawn of a girl being a bit revealing more relevant than Santa Clause. And to be honest,  even what she's wearing right now is probably unbearable. Everyone! Rise up! Throw down your cans of fake snow your spraying on your trees! Lets go to the beach! Awaaaaay!
"Woa, he didn't once attack how consumer driven this holiday is getting!" & that is because I would rather talk about bikinis.

1000 Pixels tall (pt.6 & 7)

Final pieces up. The last set was taken on my phone since I ran out of pics done by B00m. This was a fun little project. Wonder what it would look like if it was all joined together in one long line. Might give it a go.

1000 Pixels tall (pt.5)

The orange one creeped me out a bit. Especially since the site doesn't seem to lead anywhere. Oh well. I'm sure its a totally reputable business. Every good business advertises by putting stickers around. It's a fact.

1000 Pixels tall (pt.4)

So I was in the studio of ZM today. Just casually. I don't listen to radio a whole lot. I don't dig the music most of the time, and while I don't listen to it enough to complain about its repetitive nature I can almost hear the songs going creaky from over use. It's not like they were built to last anyhow. All the Hip hop starts with them saying the date the same way they would say "Shoot you in the face" and pop is usually WYSIWYG. Which is normally tits and no brains. But I digress.

Keir needed someone to back her up at a singstar competition. It's the new dance one where one person sings and one person waves their arms around like a spazz. I wasn't happy about helping out at first. But it turned out to be a decent rocking endeavour, so I retract the happiness.
Unfortunatly we got to go first. Meaning that everyone after us had progressively more practice at the dancing. True to our predictions the people that went last came first. No hard feelings. Twas fun. And now if anyone wants to buy a copy of the new Singstar+guitar game off me brand spankin new give me a buzz and I can hook you up cheaper than EB. (PS3 btw)

It always make me sad when I realize that certain stickers are just advertising for shops. Damn you Sly Guild. Damn you to heck.

1000 Pixels tall (pt.3)

The Cut Collective seem to feature rather heavily in these pics, but don't let it fool you! I'm also a big fan of ODD ONE. A few of his are strewn throughout these pics (Coming soon). I posted one of his paste ups quite a while ago. The fact I remember that gives me hope that my memory may still be good for something. I guess I remember pictures better than I remember dates. And unfortunatly dates are what peoples birthdays are made out of.
Oh yeah, we found a builder karked out on a bench. So we got his picture. 'nough said. Nuff Said. I dunno. Whatever.

1000 Pixels tall (pt.2)

Everyone say hello to the video page. It'l be a nice tidy place to archive all the videos I make for my future children. You didn't think I made them for you did you?
Oh yes. fun fact, all the photos are added in chronological order. If your really bored one day and know where a few of these are you could probably track where we went. If anyone decides to give it a bash I'll reward you with your very own restraining order.

1000 Pixels tall (pt.1)

Oooh. A new month? Time to do a week of something. I hearby decree that a week of 1000 pixel tall images (Of awesome) be served once daily to remedy all your ills. I've noticed I have neglected the graffiti element of my blog for to long. So consider this a compression of all the times I haven't put anything up.
Oh yes, while I remember, Check out what we did. I recommend you join in the fun to =).

Izak Smells: October - Ep3

Ah just in time. The bits that are shot in the dark were from a power cut. The beginning will probably be quite embarrassing for me in a week or so. Or right now. Ah well. Being a dick and putting it on the internet is a weakness we all cave to occasionally. Hang on a second. When did I loose my armband? I don't even remember taking it off. Aww. Oh well.
Oh yes. Random update about the laptop situation. I take it to church this morning and show Robby Steel Menzies the problem. Fortunatly he brought his lappy so we could get by. My pastor comes along and I stop him, and with a somber face I say "I'm sorry Peter. But I've lost a dear friend... So have you. And Robert." He's looking a little perplexed at this point. I press the on button on the laptop and it whirs into life. "Huh.. NEVER MIND SHOO SHOO. Leave. Ha ha, NOTHINGS WRONG AT ALL. Go away, Oh, wait, what did you want?"

Theories as to why the laptop started working was devine intervention, heathen girlfriends breaking it, and my room being extremely moist, to the point where sometimes I wake up thinking I'm in a swamp. I have yet to try to turn the laptop on for a second time.

Long live Cable!

Piha
So here I am, listening to Mutemaths Armistice live album. 'Typical' is rocken. The weather is warm and muggy, even at 9pm, I'm in shorts and I'm sweating like a pig starting to have withdrawal symptoms. I've finally got my internet running on my PC again. and yeah, I've been hanging with my bestest friends all day since we all participated in the Christmas parade together that my mum puts together.
But I'm still getting a sick feeling inside. Why? Let me bring you to earlier this week.

I get home one day, turn on my computer. The internet runs for a bit. Then dies. I restart the network. Nothing. Turn the compy off then on again. Ah there we go, internet up and ru-heywhatthefudge. it stopped again. Ok. Repeat and rinse i guess. Oh fine, don't work at all. I never needed the internet anyway, apart from entertaining me, and being my main source of work. Whats web admin without the web? Your just an admin with nothing to do. It's like having a boat without that big blue wobbly thing that goes underneath it.

But never fear! For I have church laptop. It will suffice as being my gateway to the net till I get my network card replaced. It worked great, two or three whole days. And then I go to turn it on. Nothing. The light comes on, but other than that its about as responsive to my prodding as an apathetic corpse.

Well thats just FANTASTIC. I'm told that it's probably something on the motherboard frying itself. "Common Dell problem sorry. :) theres a 5% chance its the ram though."
Ok. Well fortunately for the internet I got myself a big arse cable so I can network with the router the good old fashioned way, where problems are usually due to rats or cute kittens nibbling their way through the wire. While a wireless card just decides to shoot itself in the face. I don't know why sophisticated machinery has to be armed. I guess its so they have a choice or something.
This, coupled with my episode from a few weeks back gives me the distinct feeling that technology is telling me to rack off.
But hey, somethings got to be going wrong, it's not like I haven't got the best damn life around if all I have to complain about is technology falling stricken at my feet.

Death to Wireless

Jeeze, where'd the last two or so weeks go? Let it not be said Izak is a slacker during the holidays. Although in reflection I can't tell you any specifics of whats been happening. Shuttling inbetween here and the North shore, Sitting on rooves at night, taking photos of well meaning drunkards, painting like mad, getting addicted to minecraft, and cutting a camping trip in half because of paranoid parents.
Oh yes, So I'm walking down Lincoln Road late at night with Vanilla Fiction, and we see this guy at the bus stop. He's a few light posts away and we see him talk to a taxi driver and then sit back down. As we get closer he gets up and starts walking away. He suddenly turns around and yells to us "They're coming back!! They're gonna come back!" and then proceeds to put down his BK cup, takes the lid and straw off, and leaves the cup on the ground. He then sprints off down the street. Me 'n Vanilla turn to each other "Shall we turn around now" "Yeah" "Yeah lets" "Lets go" "Yeah" and then turn around and put as much distance between us and the perfectly sane, totally not on anything guy.

Tomorrow (*Glances at the time*) I mean later on today, Ill be in town so hopefully I'll have lots graf shots to show you all when I get back.

Turtle F**k Me Like A girl: The best selling book.

This may need an explanation. At the beginning of the year me 'n Harry took it upon ourselves to channel our creativity into doing characters to stick to the wall at uni, rather than doing actual work. over the year others added to the wall, and eventually Becky joined us in our endeavor. It became quite a sizable collection, and it seemed sad to let them get thrown away or split apart. So we created a book for them to live in.
The quotes are all Becky's doing. She always has her moleskin within grabbing distance for when someone says something quotable. you know your awesome when you appear more than once in there. A few of the best from uni have been added. They're all entirely out of context with the characters, but hey, most of them are still as dirty as they were when they were originally spoken.
You can tell which are my toons because they were drawn with a really light pencil which makes them almost impossible to see. Harry's are the ones with no souls. Becky's are the most subtle, with her name written on the leg of her characters. Lol. Only a few.
(Oh yes, this has been added to the Library.)

Comics week #5

oh please click me all over.

Man the weather has been kickin' lately. Way to good to be spending indoors. I guess I have a pretty sweet deal with my part time job. My hours are all up to me and I can do 'em whenever. This allows for the ability to SUPER SLACK. But fortunatly I grew up as a homeschooler so self directed work is big bubbles no troubles.
A few may have noticed that the Library page has had a recent addition (As of the begining of this week). May I present to you my latest project, finished and digitally bound for your viewing pleasure. If you enjoyed it please, show your friends. Spam Facebook with your undying love for it. Tell Twitter in watered down english your joy of finding this. Go on Bebo and tell the bros to give it a gander. Go on Myspace and sit there for ages trying to remember your password before eventually giving up because everyones on facebook anyways.

Comics week #4

This one is a continuation of day #2 done by Vanilla Fiction. Oh no! I've missed a day. Ill upload something tonight maybe.
The other day I was reading a thread over at the Escapist. I found it amusing to read so I went and did a song for the guy. Made him happy, so I guess thats a job well done.

Comics week #3

The second comic was started by the very talented Vanilla Fiction. After doing the first panel it was then given to me with the challenge of making some sort of comic out of it. The first one is a warning to people who dish shit but can't take it.

Comics week #2

This one is three separate ideas bunched together on one page. First one: my spin on how romance totally works in the real world. Second: I seriously wanted to draw a butterfly. So I did, AWESOMELY. ha ha aaaaaah. the third is a bumble bee I drew for Keir, as she wanted one as a tattoo. Although I'm not sure she will use such a dopey bee as this guy. I think he might be fun to do more stuff with.

Comics week #1

I feel like having fun. How about we dedicate this first week of November to comics? I think that's a great idea. Time for you to try and decipher my horrible handwriting. Oh yes, this strip is a true story which was written somewhere between the 5th and 6th frame. So directly after it happened. Note, there are no giraffes with wizard hats in Sunnynook.

Woa, Hotmail

So my hotmail is back up and running for the first time in over a month. The hero of the day goes to some faceless tech support guy called George C. Thanks George C, your cool. You do what I tell you to.
People that don't, includeAndrei L, Kreselle D and John SM. You guys pretty much suck at your job. Get George to teach you things.
When I got into my hotmail I had 111 new message. 70 of which were spam, while the other 30 were reality checks, attendance warnings and threats of not passing the year. It gives me a sick feeling thinking about it. It's strange when theres a good percentage chance your screwed and you don't know it. And you realize how blasé you were the whole time about everything before hand. How comfortable it felt thinking you were the effing man. ..

Thanks a lot George C. >:(

Oh yes, next year I'll probably be doing a doodle-a-day project. I've gotten inspired by a few of my favourite artists to give it a shot. So at the moment I'm thinking one doodle every day for a year, starting january 1st. No limitations on what subjects I cover or what I draw. No bigger than A5. No backlogging, each doodle will be done on its day. If I don't upload to the blog once a day Ill just do a pile at once on one post. Might think of doing a issuu type thing once a semester, just as an easier way to glance over them all. You should all think about doing it to! It's easy to start a blog and spam the internet!

Relient K & Some Band Called Paramore

I mentioned this event earlier, but neglected to write much since I didn't wanna do it without a few pics. So here goes *Launches into the story*.

Twas the 8th of October, nothing stirred, not even an ogre. No wait that's a lie, the front of Vector was crammed. Paramore was playing there, but meh, I was there to see their fronters, Relient K. Woo! These guys were the first band I ever listened to, and this has only been their second time in NZ, so I couldn't miss out on this chance to see 'em. Well, I almost did actually, but that's not important. I cruised in there with Becky, Harry, and... Mrs. Harry. I always forget her name. I'm sorry.
The Harries had seated tickets, but Becky managed to get some standing tickets off trademe. Which was a teeny bit dodge.
We got in just in time to see some random ass NZ band finish up. I remember the drummer looking very enthusiastic. He just looked so stoked to be whacking those cylinders.
Relient K came on and we decided it was time to get the front. Unfortunatly the front was blocked by a million sweaty backs, so we got as close as we could, which was a few metres from the front, but may as well have been a few miles. We got stuck behind some rambunctious big dudes and didn't move much after that.
During their last song I decided I wasn't gonna stand idly by and let a chance to rock out publicly slip away from me. I just went nuts. I managed to carve out my own circle to flail in. I was chuffed with that, since a few seconds prior I could barely move, I now had enough space to kick and windmill. Although that did come at the price of a few little girls getting pissed I was moshing in a mosh pit. A couple bros gave me some chest bumps etc though for goin nuts and they tried helpin me to the front.

Matt Thiessen
I kept pushing and pushing, but eventually I just ended up almost passing out on someones back. I was completely wasted. When the song was over I just staggered out. I couldn't hear anything and I could only just see. I crashed by the sound booth and just lay there until Becky found me. She went off to get me water, They charged her nine bucks for two paper cups. WTF. That's all I have to say to that. Double U, Tee, Eff.. Mate.

Matt Thiessen/Ethan Luck/Matt Hoopes
Oh yeah, turns out Keir was there with Bex, and she had been up the very front and managed to get some flicks. Woo. Cheers for that, girls.

And so happily ends my vaguely interesting story. You can tell I don't go to these sorts of things much huh.

Armageddon '10

I woke joyfully at 6 or so in the morning. Hopped on a bus and arrived on Greenlane at about 8. I was walking along not quite sure where to go when a asian chick with green hair and white thigh highs appeared in front of me. "Ah, it's a fair assumption that this person is going to the same place I am. I shall follow her and ra-follow her."
This was to be my first encounter with Armageddon. Previous years have seen me broke, friendless, uncommitting, and just generally lazy around this time of year. Fortunatly Becky is good at getting me motivated to get out the house.

As I stood around waiting to rendezvous I got talking to some random, when asked why I wasn't in cosplay I gave him a disgusted look and told him i WAS in cosplay, and that I was actually that dude from prototype... I then morphed out a giant black scythe, cut him in half, and then drop kicked his halves in opposite directions, landing one half on top of one tree hill and the other on the opposite side of the showgrounds. Yeah, thats exactly what happened.

What else did I do... I talked to a dude who was the lead concept artist for District 9, The Hobbit, and LOTR to a lesser extent. Talked to a bunch of NZ cartoonists. That was cool. Bought a few NZ comics and got them signed. I was totally gutted there pretty much nothing DnD related there. Wizards just went nuts for Magic: The Gathering. There was a small table advertising a weird DnD based clip together plastic board thing. I'm not sure how to describe it. Underwhelming is probably the best word..
I also gawked at Cosplayers, watched Becky Drool over Han Solo and Star Wars stuff, Said "F**K you" To Darick Robinson, artist of Spider Jerusalem-Wait yes, I did. He gave me the fingers, he totally started it. Lol, he's pretty cool though, although I hadn't heard of Spider Jerusalem till then.

Anyways, Fun times. Might make a comic book by the time the next Armageddon rolls around. I took a few videos while in there, so you might see those a little later on. I'll leave you with some unrelated pics.

A mannequin that's been scaring the crap outa people in the toilets at uni.

Oh P.s. Special shout out to everyone who helped me with my nerd flash guide thing. It's got over 6,200 hits on Newgrounds now. I suspect at least 5000 of them are from this blog alone. =P

Goodbye Year 2

Well yesterday was final hand in.
Me, Harry, and Becky decided to pull an all nighter to get our finals done. We had to do an illustration that was either watercolour or acrylics. No one could tell what Harry used watercolour due to his heavy style. He played this up by never mentioning in his rational what medium he had used. Should be interesting to see what Ellette (Our lecturer) thinks of it.
To be honest we're lame at all nighters, we ended up sleeping for about half an hour... I think. I'm not sure really. I just remember Beckys dad kicking down the door into his study scaring the Bejeezers outa me.
We got to uni with all our stuff together and went upstairs. Some of  the girls were there working on their junk. Being genuinely inquisitive about how my stuff turned out they ask "Oh how did your final turn out?" "Oooh, It looks awesome! Wanna see?" "Yeah, I'll probably wanna kill myself after seeing it." "You BETTER kill yourself," I respond, as I dig through our work. My digging became even more frantic as I realized it wasn't there. "Oh crap, Brb." I said as me 'n Becky went out to her car. It wasn't there. So we had to go aaaall the way back to Red Beach to get it. We got back an hour later and I casually show them.

Anyway, after that I had a 13 hour nap. Here's some visual entertainment I did while on a random roadtrip to the Tron a couple weeks ago.

Final Hand ins

I have been neglecting the blog until I got some decent photos about what I want to talk about. Unfortunatly not having facebook has given me a slight disadvantage of being able to quickly snatch shots my friends took.

Long story short, I saw Relient K live at Vector. It was totally bitchin, and will get more of an explanation when I get some photos.

But for now I have a paltry offering of final hand ins for this year. First of all, holy cow. Year 2 has gone waaaay to fast. It's been good, and I'm sure it'l get even better with year 3.

Me 'n Harry (Whom Keir can now vouch for, He does exist) pumped out a rebranding of Tip Tops Callipo, He was in charge of the words thing, while I did the design. It looks quite a lot like this actually. If we didn't go with Quazipop our second option was Frugasm.Which I think is a DELIGHTFUL name for a tube shaped treat.

And lets not forget my nerds guide to Auckland! I'm only putting the front cover online, because to be honest.. I'm not to proud of it. Ten points to whoever can tell me where that rabbit first appeared! Ill give you a clue! He appeared here! Woops, I suck at clues. Oh well. Have fun kids.

Red Box Adventures 2

On the fourth day of raiding, Puddle and Flange met a tall slim Elf, who when asked replied that her name was Sushi (maybe with a hint of hostility).
As they made acquaintances with each other a pale, lank haired man strode into the Tavern. He stood at the door and with a rasped voice exclaimed “If you go back to the cave, you will take the place of those that you felled.”
Puddle and Sushi looked at him oddly. “Is that it?” “Uh.. Yes.. I think so.. Don’t come back.” They looked at the man disapprovingly until it got awkward and he left.

As they made their way from the tavern township towards the cave they could hear wolves howling in the distance. When they reached the crossroads two wolves emerged behind them, unable to hide in the tree lines any longer. Their snarling and howling attracted two goblin scouts who had been patrolling the area. The two wolves circled and attacked Sushi and Flange.
Puddle created sounds behind the Goblins to distract and confuse them until The more physical fighters could dispatch the wolves.

When they reached the cave they headed into the second entrance (For a change of scenery). They pushed Sushi to the front as they walked in. Around them they could see Kobolds nervously watching them, with their spears at the read.
Puddle Began to talk to one of the Kobolds. He found out they had a “master” of sorts. And when led to a second chamber the party came face to face with a young white dragon.
Puddle realized that he had seen this dragon in the pool of water earlier.
The Dragon spoke in stilted common to them, and soon the party found out that the Dragon despised Malareth, the dark magician, who had invaded part of his lair.
Two Kobolds were ordered to go with the party as they headed further in to face off with Malareth.

They burst through the door to scare the shit out of a Goblin, who ran away and called for “Kurrash”. Kurrash a tall, matted bugbear, came pushing through the door.
Him and his pals totally got whipped. But not before killing the two Kobolds.

With this done the party decided that was enough for the day, and headed home. No need to rush things.

Harry or someone did it.

Elections

Well it's that time of year. Where busy street corners get infested with ugly ass billboards with promises of  improving transport, lower taxes and totally not lying or any of that stuff the OTHER politicians do. They don't want to improve transport, if you were going to fast you wouldn't have time to look at their billboards! They'l have to think of a creative way to getting their message across and that just takes time and effort! And shit, they don't have either of those to spend on the little people.
Ha, I sound like an anarchist or someone who isn't into politics. I'm very much into it, and have been for many a year now. Even with that on my side it still didn't really help with deciding who to vote for. I was having this arguement with my friends about it being our duty to vote and stuff, but I have to agree with their reasoning, I don't even know who any of these people ARE I'm meant to be voting for. Most of them stay pretty low profile until elections, and then all the info you have readily available to you when it comes to the crunch is the bio they wrote up about themselves. It's sorta like hiring someone by looking at the "About Me" part of their profile. "My gender is other, My relationship status is complicated, I like books by Clive Barker, and my pet peave is people who breath on the back of my neck when I'm waiting in line at a store... and shallow people. I hate shallow people. And I hate hate. Hate is bad. Which I also hate, bad is not cool. Unless it's said with the right tone.. or has 'ass' on the end. Bad ass is cool. but bad bad isn't."

Oh p.s. I have now posted more than I have in any other year. Own personal milestone there.

Izak Smells: Ep2

If you can really call a random collection of clips an "episode". But hey, it helps keeps thing sequential.
The last bit of video in the studios was filmed yesterday. The other ones in the car and the Angry american voice (Which belongs to B00mTastic) were from a week or so back.

September ends

I have to make a small correction to a post from a long time ago. Becky wants everyone to know she did one of the drawings in there. So there you go Becky, You finally get the kudos you deserve =D. She also took the two photos below. A girl after my own heart I swear.
Well September is coming to it's conclusion <-- Awesome observation there. A lot of shit has hit a lot of fans this month. And as soon as I figure out who's been throwing it Ill make sure to give them a piece of my mind. What the heck do they think they're doing throwing Feces at fans? That's unhygienic! What do they have against fans? Did a fan kill their parents when they were young? Well who knows, I just hope their lobbing some into the offices of the Hotmail people.

Harrowing Harrows

well randomly on Sunday Microsoft went into it's weekly business meeting. Bill looked around the room, "Ok, tell me all whatcha got?", Josh the new guy stood up "well, we've been looking at figures, and it seems as though we haven't been screwing up peoples digital experience much lately." "Oh dear." said Bill. "That IS A problem."
"Don't worry! I have put some thought into this!" Josh said, puffing out his chest with pride at his ability to do things by himself. "What is one of the corner stones of using the internet?" Josh pauses for dramatic effect. "EMAIL!" He said before anyone could answer his rhetorical question. "And what better way to screw with peoples day but by making them loose their access to their email!" "Wow! That's a brilliant idea!" said Bill. "I helped him with it to..." muttered Geoff under his breath. "Shut up Geoff, no one likes you." said Bill, "How about you go work on solitaire 2.0 or something."
So yes, I have now lost access to my main hotmail address. If you know me and like to send me emails occasionally I suggest you start sending them to my gmail account. It's exactly the same as my hotmail, except with @gmail.com on the end. Say who it is since my contacts are sorta unreachable at the moment...

Actually I haven't finished moaning about this. Secret questions. Aren't they a joke? Remember years ago when you made your hotmail account, or maybe any other account, and it asks you, "In the event of you loosing your account, please make a secret question and answer." Well they didn't tell you that ten years later they wouldn't actually ask you the question. The question... IS A SECRET. And it asks you to answer it. This is sort of like asking you what was the maiden name of the mother of the midwife who delivered you on your birth. It's technically possible, but it may as well be impossible.

Thankyou for your time dear blog. Here. Have some visuals.

Just playing around with the camera while getting some shots of the old corbans winery, It's recently been hit up really good. Which is nice considering what it looked like last time I was there... I can't find the post I last talked about it in, so no handy little back link for you. Goes to show how long ago it was last time I was there.

Only Fools Rush In

Puddle, the wizard in training and Flange, the rouge kleptomaniac made their way from the Tavern to the lair with little incident. This was to be their first serious mission, and it was treated as such. They charged in, slaying two goblins, before realizing they would probably be ingested by the goblins pet drake if they didn't GTFO as soon as possible.
They came back two days later, a little wiser and a little wearier. Killing the drake and putting an end to the remaining goblins gobbliness. Unfortunatly the labyrinth continued further in, and a glimpse through a magical pool of water revealed a greater danger inside. "Perhaps we need someone to help us out, we're gonna get stomped if we don't." Flange pointed out. "Perhaps we need your MUM." said Puddle as he conjured a laughing live studio audience.

So there you have it. The first paragraph of an epic tale being woven by this handy little red box. Damn you Dungeons & Dragons! I never thought I would see the day when I would be playing it. But I have witnessed it, and I am pleased.

Just some Graff

Just finished watching the "Exit through the Giftshop" documentary and urgently felt the need to post up some shots I have had lying around. I'm still planning on buying the DVD, but you don't know how long the vids will stay up before getting taken down.

A Storm

"An Australia sized storm" loomed over NZ over the weekend. Fortunatly It was only New Zealand sized because the rest of it was hanging over the ocean. It was the biggest storm on the planet at the time. Other countries spent the day having picnics at the beach.
The mighty Waikato got mightier, as it was already on a king tide, but increased rainfall made it huge, leaving adjacent livestock to swim. When asking whether or not cows could swim I was told by my brother that "If you drop a cow in the middle of a lake it learns how to swim pretty quick." And apparently humans are the only things that don't naturally know how to swim. I guess we just overthink the whole thing.
To be honest I'm sure this is just one of those things that hasn't been properly tested. I'm sure a giraffe would have no trouble with shallow water, being able to walk along the bottom while still having its head periscoping out from the water. But has anyone dropped a giraffe in an ocean? I'm sure their head would be more of a hinderance in this case, flipping it upside down with it's legs bicycling in fresh air.

On Saturday we went out into the blustery day to Nerd Mecca. Surely MK1 is the coolest place around. My married couple got me the Scott Pilgrim comics, and I got myself the new D&D Starter Box. It's super exciting. This is as far as I have ever ventured down the rabbit hole and will definitely be something I let you guys know about. I think Dungeons and Dragons is something that's vastly misunderstood. Much like WoW it has a lot of horror stories associated with it, and I'm hoping after a few sessions I'll be able to recount how awesome and totally demon possession free it is. Wow, possession has a lot of S's in it 0_0. I leave you with some Hamiltonian pics.

Turning 21

Woot! My lifelong dream of being able to drink in America has finally become slightly more of a reality! But seriously. I still have the mind of a 17 year old with a 21 year old birth certificate, and that in itself is a scary thought. Life is marching on, and the more it does, the more tragic my hobbies become. But don't let these morbid reflections let you think I had a horrible 15th of September 2010. It was a great day of normal everyday life. I think my sweet playlist had something to do with it though (see video).

Oh thank you for reminding me, bracket! I got a video camera. A nice sexy 80gig whatsit with a touch screen and massive thingimajig... The other day I had to explain what a "thingimajig" was. It's rather hard because I mostly came up with other words like "whosAmaCallIt" & "WhasitCalleds".
Sadly the Camera has a larger harddrive in it than my biggest harddrive on my computer. I'm playing a game of "Which games do I put on and which walk the plank."

TrustMe I'm fine.
