Blobby: Not What I expected

15/20. Sometimes horrible situations sometimes end up with you riding a centipede/caterpillar that devours pillars of dirt. Sometimes.
So I just passed my learners test. Booked it today, sat it today. I did a couple test runs on my phone before heading over. And I had another 10 minutes to rock the test test again. In fact I've never actually read the road code properly before. I slipped through the system. Congratulations, I'll be on your road ruining your life real soon. I opened the book once and looked at it and went "Yep, I agree with this, no need to convince me further."
What's weird is that you need to book the test, even though there's computers sitting right there ready to go. Why can't I just jump on and nail it? What's with this abitrary waiting business, what is this? It's like going back to a time where you needed to be in front of the TV at the right time to catch the movie.
I got two of the questions wrong in the first 10. So I spent the next 25 sweating it out. At the very end I got one more wrong with 5 more questions to go. and I made it. I scraped through. Boom. Take that you stupid licence everyone's been bothering me about. You weren't so tough. I've encountered puzzles in Zelda harder than you.
Oh and cars are totally the most inefficient use of road space invented so far. I was really hoping that public transport would have gotten it's shit together by now.

Honoka - Dead Or Alive 5 Last Round

The Tekken crowd may be complaining about getting an uninspired design for one of their new characters, but they're in a veritable creative oasis of joy compared to what Dead Or Alive is offering.

The latest character announced is Honoka, a schoolgirl. The DoA wiki notes that Honoka currently possesses the largest overall bust of the female cast as well as being the second shortest character. That's about all the interesting information there is about her aesthetically.



Most of the fans seem to be more concerned with her moveset than her looks, complaining that this is the second character that's composed purely of other characters moves.

However DoA5 has seen a decent number of new characters added to the roster through it's plethora of weird releases, so hopefully fans will forgive this final mediocre gasp.

Lady Hammerlock - Borderlands: The Pre-Sequel

Lady Aurelia the Baroness Aka Lady Hammerlock is now a playable character in the latest DLC for Borderlands: The Pre-Sequel.

I'm not gonna lie I've avoided Borderlands after I played the first one. That game just came across as a major yawn-a-thon. Sure, it  had great style, quirky writing and randomly stat'd guns. But I just couldn't get over how static everything felt. It didn't feel like anything interesting would happen. The world was static as far as I was concerned, with zero chance of any emergent gameplay popping out of it.

Baddies were just slowly filled with HP and buffed with stronger bullets to create a sense of a difficulty curve.
But apparently I'm in the minority on this opinion, and that's just fine. At least Borderlands is trying something different in the FPS arena, and being rewarded appropriately.

Lucky Chloe - Tekken

First pixel girl of the year! Thought I'd forgotten hadn't you? Where do I start with Lucky Chloe. A few years ago I would have said that she didn't fit with the rest of the team but since there's a kick boxing velociraptor and a girl with chainsaws for arms now I guess anything goes now.

The story behind Chloe's debute is pretty hilarious. A bunch of fans were bitching about how uninspired her design seemed  and admittedly she does look a bit like a tutu version of the recently released Marie Rose for DoA. Katsuhiro Harada (Game Director of Tekken) thought this was a good time to take the piss and wind them up by saying "...She will be country exclusive (or region exclusive) character. We don't include her for your region. That's why I said Calm down and Don't worry."
And then, if that wasn't trolling them enough he responded with "..They want just Muscle & Skinhead (with Gun or MMA style) character (Of course I knew it ;))"


Anyway, this little community goof around got a bunch more people worried that they'd never get to play Chloe. But Katsuhiro want's you to all not worry about it, chill. Personally I think he's rad, but humour and sarcasm are things that the media and angry people are normally blind to.

Kristof, could you bring me back my copy of Tekken Tag 2? I'm worried it's gonna disappear when you move your flat. Cheers.

Blobby: Leaving You

14/20 This ones based on someone else's harrowing life that I'm using as a rich seam of relationship gold that I can slowly pick away at and turn into little pictures. The pain is worth it, for me at least.

It's Auckland Anniversary weekend so I can look forward to another awesome day of brutally hot sun and muggy weather. I know that people often complain about what ever weather they're currently in wishing it was what ever weather it wasn't, but I'm gonna say it straight up, Winter is much better than this.

Blobby: Drifted Apart

Ok, that concludes the clouds dilemmas for now I think. 13/20 done. Is there a plan after that? NOPE.
In terms of music this year I don't forsee myself listening to much more Deep House. It was big for me last year, but these sorts of genres come and go whether I like it or not (rest in peace Breaks, we had good times.)
So far in January I've been getting back into my Downtempo/Ambience/Chill-out whatever you wanna call it after finding this record label Silk Sofa. I recommend you go listen to their stuff while your at work and need some background noise.

Blobby: Friendly

This conversation was originally sketched to take place with the Skully/Boofy hair couple but it made me way too sad. People who don't draw won't understand why this cloud set is so hard to draw, isn't that right people who can draw *Wink*. Tell them how hard it is *Nudge*.

I'm about to go off and watch the old Judge Dredd movie for kicks, so part of me doesn't want to write this story, but the other half of me knows I probably won't get a good chance if I don't do it now. So, without further ado...

Seducing Loiterers

It was Sunday, much like any other. We needed to duck into the Henderson mall quickly to pick something up. We parked outside the front doors and around the corner a little bit from the building. Jumped out of the car we were greeted by the usual menagerie of human detritus.
Becky and I walked past two particular Maori boys sitting on some seats chatting away to each other. As we passed on of them started making the "come hither gruff & snarl" at Becky's butt. We both looked over angrily and Becky shot back with a "fuck off." they laughed and carried on. I didn't do anything, just seethed inside.
We weren't in the mall long, so inevitably we had to walk past them again. Once again they waited for us to both get past before starting the gruff 'n snarl. I. Stopped. Becky kept going to the car. I protruded my butt out a little, rubbed my supple flank in an exaggerated fashion and looked at him with bug eyes. In a small husky voice I said "Hey baby... If you think I'm sexy, you can just say it to my face."
The one making the sounds looked at my almost startled and then looked away angrily. I continued to rub my butt, my arm being the only thing that moved on my entire body. His friend craned his head over, saw what I was doing and then let out a "...Ha!" and began to laugh to himself. The first one didn't look again.
I got in the car, once again restoring my maidens honour. I felt just like a knight would.

This makes No.11 I believe. Why can't clouds just get along? I guess they don't have anything better to do other than argue with each other.

I'm back at work now, I was afraid I'd have forgotten how to do everything, like I'd turn up, sit down in front of my computer and say "Wordpress is a mystery to me." and die.

Blobby: As In Love

Phew, first time I've had a decent chance to sit down in the last two weeks. Hey first post of 2015! Awesome. I just finished up an awesome tour of the South Island. I can see now why so many people think my country is cool. The North Island is mostly pretty undulating, while the South has all the sliders on terrain generation pushed up as far as they can go. The massive power of glaciers is a sight to behold, slowly grinding mountains into powder.
I'll be posting more about it in the following weeks, as well as getting a video together. I took a lot of video, it's gonna be a bit scary trying to get through it all.
