Testing

The blog is in a great need of revamping, its boring to the eye balls, and doesn't reflect the feel that I want to give the blog. *a few hours  of frustrating tampering and illustrator work later.*
Well, I think it was worth it. Its a wee bit dark. But I think it looks tight! my Amatuer coding skills still serves me well. Jeeze. Is anyone else freezing? Aucklands getting cold as at night now.

These are a few flicks I took the other day. Thats Te Pai Skate park there. The day was rather cloudy, but this bomb still looked really bright. It was almost sureal. A bit like in the afternoon just before the suns gonna set, and you get that crazy glow.

Broken Link. Sad Face

This is near my bus stop in the city. I like it. Its all hand done, so you gotta caress it lovingly on the way past.

Was a piece by OddOne (Broken as well)

And a random sticker by an Unknown (Broken)

Another one in the city down some forgotten street that you'l never be able to find if you were looking for it.
Oh yea, If you catch the 895 or 090 did you happen to see an eftpos card? Its blue.. And has my signature on it.

Find a purpose before you sing!

Im roughly 9 hours away from a test that I have still yet to properly study for. Now seems like a perfect time to do a blog entry. Lately I have been heavily immersed in a lot of new music. I Listened to every single greenday album (Including the new one, a week before it came out), Been recommended a lot of music, Rocket summer(One album), Mewithoutyou (Got two albums now), Amber Pacific (Two?), and the latest Goldfinger album (Woop woop!) which I got from real groovy with Jason on the weekend. Oh yea! Jason from headspace came and chilled out here on the weekend (as another excuse for me to not study.) We caught up with Zac and Jo at Zacs little birthday shindig. Yaaaay. Good to see a bit of the crew.
Well Ill stop panicing after wednesday I think.  After thats its smooth sailing into a six week calm ocean of probably chicken factory. -_- (Goldfinger would not be pleased)
My latest project for school is becoming pretty epic, although not as epic as my scroll. Its like this steel crazy thing. Nat cut it out of the sheet metal for me tonight (For which im eternally grateful and now realize I will never work with steel ever again unless I own all my own tools and have all the time in the world to do it in. Not two days.)
Ok, I just found this, written by a guy called Jim Lane.
One of the most studied periods in history was the so-called Industrial Revolution. It hit England in the early 1800's and much of Europe only a little later in the century. Sociologically, it's hard to understate the impact this "coming of the machine" had on daily life. Like most drastic changes, it had both positive and negative effects upon the citizens of every society it touched. Most of all though, it gave birth to a permanent "middle" class.
How sarcastic did that Paragraph sound to you? Maybe I suck at reading, but wow. All those quotation marks really felt like they were dripping with sarcasm. The "so-called Industrial Revolution" XD. Ok, I realize he's probably trying to say something like "Thats what it was called later on when people looked back." But if you read it right it sounds more like "I see no proof of this crazy little time period! Your all blind!"

But what I'm really trying to say here is. Goldfinger kicks the ass of greenday, any day.

Whole little of nothin'

The weekend was good. Although being sick was a bit of a dampner. But on friday I handed in two assignments. One of them being a finished Printed tshirt. Not AS sexy as I thought it would be. But hey. Its still cool. I posted a concept of it 2 posts ago. Here's what it looks like in completion. When I get the shirt Back I may take some photos of it.
Ok funny experience. Anicdote for you... Hmm, not a lot happens when You sit in the same room all the time. I know! A vid from Thailand! Yay.

Anzac Day?

Well I missed the dawn parade. And the Mid morning parade. And the midday parade. I should probably start waking up at a healthy time instead of 1 in the afternoon.
But thats ok, because to the surprise of all the adults "youth" seem to be coming to the dawn parades in unusual numbers. Its funny that it still comes as a surprise because I recall the last few years have had similiar reports. Its that one time of year when they can't say we have no respect. Lol. I'll go next year. I promise. Or maybe Ill buy a poppy. Hanna did. That makes me so unpatriotic. Ha ha.

Well looks like week two came and went. Damn.. I still haven't got everything in order for monday... Ill do it tomorrow.

Mid semester break

Dear blog. Its the mid semester break. Guess what I have been doing? Nope. Not all the crap load of study I should be catching up on so Im fully prepared when we start back in a weeks time, what are you? crazy? Ha ha ha ha, yes you must be. Or maybe I am... I'm talking to a blog. I'll have to put something about that in my next thoughts thingy on facebook. People love a good witty stream thing. -_-
So yea. Been squandering my life for the past week. Been sick mostly. But other than that I have been staying up till like 3 and waking up at midday, in time to watch the sun go down and do it again.
Been addicted to role playing on a MUD. So much fun.. Oh yea! And putting out embarrasing amounts of quick pics from illustrator. Trying to get comfortable in it. I keep comparing it to flash. Shouldn't compare! Comparing is what old men do! "Psh, thats not a scar.. This is a scar!" he said as he put what appears to be a wooden leg on the table. "This scar is so deep it came out the other side and took my leg clean off!"

Oh yes. And I'm in the process of adding the thailand vids to youtube in 5 minute eps. I promise their entertaining. Ha ha.

Your face is Terabithia!

Woa! What the! Two posts in one night? Izak You must be bored! No! I just realized that I can do video editing now that my computers all quick and nifty. We made this one in.. January I think. Maybe before we went to Phili Even. Ah well. Here it is. Enjoy

I can't write!

Today we handed in our essays for critical studies. I think I pulled mine off alright. There are a bunch of errors in the way I did it throughout, but overall I did ok. I feel sorry for everyone that was still doing their piece 30 minutes before hand in. 0_0.
I was contemplating putting the essay on the blog. But I really don't want to bore you with it. So instead, as a tribute I shall write a 3 minute 3 second blitz essay. What does that mean? It means I'm going to do a sum up of it in three minutes and three seconds. Why three minutes 3 seconds? Because thats how long the song is I will be listening to while Writing this. Now your challenge is to listen to the song and read it. And if you don't reach the end by the end of the song I can type faster than your face can read. (Which is highly unlikely.)

Im doing an essay about Andy warhol. A long long time ago he went and ripped off a picture of marilyn monroe. He didn't even change anything. Much like that guy who did the obama "Hope pictures" but that guy got taken to court and andy didn't. Cause he has funny sun glasses and is all mysterious and art. He actually had more of an upper hand because he lived in a time when people were still pushing the limits on art (Or in some peoples cases putting urinals in art galleries for the lolz) But you know how these things go. When one pony does it everyone else follows and then the big people havbe to do something about it like make copyright laws. A bit like the internet and downloading. When it first started no one had thought about laws for the net. Now their doing all sorts of crazy dumb laws that stop me from stealing stuff like the song I'm listening to. Oh no i'm out of time!

Well. that covered like Only one point. But it was the most interesting point anyway. Quick side note. The guy who created the iconic image is also the street artist who designed the "Obey" pictures. I may have mentioned them in a time long long ago. I know theres an original styled one on lincoln road. But yea, He started off doing stickers. Now he just did a picture that will go down in history in one way or the other.
