Getting all naturey again

We climbed up the lookout. It rose above the treetops allowing use to see the huge rolling valley of random bush and scrub, which makes up pretty much all of the Waitakere ranges. In the distance we could make out the starts of the ocean, glistening in the afternoon sun. I looked for a moment and then "The only thing that can do this scene justice... Is my camera phone!" I proclaimed as I whipped it out, took a shot that was instantly compressed, pixelated, and then shitified. My job here, IS DONE.

Fortunatly it had rained recently so the path was a muddy track, with slimey stones and roots placed strategically around. All of them eagerly awaiting someones foot to land on them so they could shout "AAAH YOU LOST YOUR GRIP! GET IT!?!?"
I say fortunatly because, lets face it, it wouldn't even be half as fun if we were mearly walking through the bush. I prefer to be like a dainty ninja who doesn't like getting his shoes muddy, jumping from dry patch to dry patch.

Naw, so cute.

Oh P.S. people who don't have blogger accounts can now post comments to my blog. I didn't realize I had that particular setting turned off before. Heh heh. Oh yes, and there's now a share feature at the bottom of my posts, so you can now tell everyone on the old facebook what they're missing out on. Feel free to post my hateful anti-facebook posts on there. People are still texting me asking where my profile has gone. It's a little worrying that they're only realizing a month or two after its gone. Ha ha ha ha ha ha aaaaahh... *cries*

Matching the medium

Wow. The blog looks so clean and pro looking it makes me feel like writing above average posts, just so the content matches the medium. Even this bit I'm writing into now (The composer) is all new and swish. You kind of wonder why they would release a new better layout, not tell you about it, and then bury it in settings and menus and drop down boxes. No need to be ashamed google, I think the silver look is cool.

Breaking news! A few weeks ago winter got to New Zealand, it has since taken up residence and refuses to leave early for spring. Inhabitants of the small island country have taken it upon themselves to do battle with winter and keep as summer temperature feeling as possible. Walking the streets you can see people dragging around blankets from their beds, resigned to the fact they have to go to work but stubbornly refusing to leave the comfyness of bed. More ingenious citizens have cut foot holes into sleeping bags and shuffle madly around, resembling upright circus caterpillars. The more cynical residents have forsaken the outdoors completely, preferring to keep the curtains closed to trap the heat and obscure the view of a world that would really like to kick them in the arse if they were to bear it. And the world knows its only a matter of time till the hermits have to peep out their heads and make a bolt for the car. They have to get food somehow.
When everything goes back to a more reasonable temperature we might see them more...

Sometimes I wish it would snow, just so we have physical evidence it's cold outside.

SEKO still dropping it down at the train station.

Ok so the council has the time to buff an entire wall but they can't be screwed getting some slime off it? Thank goodness the local neighbourhood taggers decided to selectively clean bits of it off. At least someone around here gets things done.

A draw? That's like winning!

Me a week and a half ago: Soccer? Thats like rugby except the ball is ball shaped and you can't touch it with your hands 'cause it's like infested with germs right?

Me now: 1 - 1 against Italy? Oh my goodness thats friggin epic I never thought we would be able to pull that off! This is awesome! I just found another reason to love New Zealand! Finally! We got something to talk about other than Chris Carter buying flowers for his civil unionized man friend. (Yea, the spell check says that "unionized" is an alright word to spell. Weird huh? I tried spelling it "unioned" but it would have none of that. I guess there's a grammatical reason for it that I don't care about.)

But yay, we now know Mc Donalds new lineup of sports people who will trot out and tell us how they couldn't have done it without the new lighter option of meals. I don't recall whether I have mentioned this before but a lot of those meals are just the normal ones set to a green background. And we all know green is healthier than any other colour. So food on that sort of background MUST be better! Although its also common knowledge that green water on the other hand is most likely poisonous or lime flavoured. Either way no one is going out of their way to drink it.

In other news Henderson is now being graced with a new up and comer, "Mene" It will be interesting to see how long (s)he will hang around for, and whether we see some new characters come out to play.

You can see they're rocking those foodtown stickers. I wonder where they work? Lol.

Comedy Clubbing

Lets have a look at my photos and see what I have been up to lately... Coming into contact with a little passive aggressive racism at the bus stop there. Celebrating diversity, westy style.

Oh yeah, sometime last week I went over to Browns bay and chilled out with Haejee and Nick Marks, and Mark. lawl. I forgot all about this drawing I did of Haejee until I went rifling through her purse.

Oh yes, and on friday me name, name, name, name, and his friend name went to the classic, up the top of queen street. Its this comedy club if you've never heard of it before. 20 bucks entry, every friday night they have a headline act. We got to see Steve Wrigley which was yay. Definitely worth it if you feel like laughing for two hours and like to feel sympathetic towards a comedian getting heckled by a big half drunk Maori guy who thinks he's just as funny. Comedian - "So what sort of paper do you guys make?" Drunkard - "Toilet paper that comes out of your mouth."
This tag on the front door pretty much sums everything up nicely.

Blog related junk

Well, some people have noticed the new page to the blog over there >>
I got something cooking at the moment. Trust me, it'l be fancy.

And I got ads sitting around on all my blogs now. Yeah, I know I'm selling myself out like a whore. But I may as well get some compensation for taking up a bit of the internet. Its gotta work better than my experiment with mylot and junk. That was super lame!

With this first bit of week on holiday I have managed to keep myself busy. I spent 2 days downloading S.T.A.L.K.E.R. off steam. That really sucked. How long does it take you to download 7 gigs? Don't tell me, it would probably make me cry.

In the mean time I drew like a madman. (With my own blood mixed with feces. LIKE A MADMAN.)

A tour of the studio

What I love most about uni, and in particular the studio, is how random it is. The contents of our minds finds itself stuck to every surface. Walls, ceilings, on tables, under tables, on the white board, on the windows. It gets everywhere. So for all you normal people I took a few pics so you could see what I mean (it would be painful to describe everything so yeah.)

The last guy saying "I know" originally was just "No." since I don't think it looked like an abortion. It was obviously a bird pecking out his entrails.

My letters for typography.

Me 'n Harry threw these up on the last day. We were going with the theme of a family photo of some description. I went with six year olds birthday. He went with "Earl, the pimp with mythological hook ups."

It can't get knocked over if its up there!

Becky wants you to know she did this one.

These last two are done by Paul and his crazy ass skills. Ill throw up a link to his deviant art page as soon as I find it.
